Healing Beyond Treatment: The Hope Community
Hope Community meets the first Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m. at the North
Raleigh Practice (10010 Falls of Neuse, Suite 203, Raleigh, NC 27614). The Hope Community is open to people living with
cancer, as well as their family and friends. The
mission of our Hope Community is to spend time together
exploring how relaxation, stretching and movement,
guided imagery, art, music and other activities help
us to find greater peace, hope and healing in our
lives.
Meetings are facilitated by Pam Labusohr RN OCN and
Angela James RN. Sometimes they present
the information session, but often a speaker is invited
to share their expertise in a particular area. We
also often have staff members come to gatherings
and join in. A light dinner is provided with the
support of our pharmaceutical partners.
In addition to the previous activities, we have enjoyed
a massage after listening to an information session
on its application and benefits, and had great fun
with art therapy. The Hope Community invites you,
your family and friends to join us at our monthly
gathering to take a step toward inner healing.
