Dr. Mark Yoffe has more than 25 years experience treating patients with leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, other forms of cancers and blood diseases. After graduating from the University of Florida Medical School in Gainesville, he completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, and his oncology/hematology fellowship at the University of Colorado in Denver. Mark has been with the same private practice in Raleigh since 1982. He practices at the Cancer Centers of North Carolina, an all inclusive cancer center that he established with his partners.
Mark became involved with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in 2004 with the Team in Training (TNT) program. He proudly completed the Marine Corps Marathon with TNT in honor and memory of his many cancer patients and brother Carl, who lost the fight against leukemia at age twenty. Mark was recognized as the Eastern North Carolina's top fundraiser for that event, raising more than $12,000. He currently serves as a volunteer speaker at TNT group meetings, hoping to inspire others to join in fundraising for this important cause.
Mark is serving his sixth year on the board of Hospice of Wake County and enjoys participating in many fundraising events with hospice. Mark has also received The Sword of Hope Volunteer of the Year award from the American Cancer Society.
Mark is married to his wife Valerie. They have two grown children; Rebecca and Sam. He is passionate about sports, golf, running, and spending time with his family and dogs, Mocha and Irbe.
Dr. Yoffe is a candidate for Man of the Year for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The Man of The Year campaign is an eight-week fundraising competition between Triangle community and business leaders. They are philanthropic, ambitious, socially active, resourceful & passionate about making a difference in the lives of people touched by blood cancers.
