Dr.
Campbell received her doctorate from Duke University
School of Medicine. She completed
her internship and residency in internal medicine
at UNC North Carolina, where she was chief resident.
She completed her fellowship in hematology-oncology
at the University of North Carolina School of
Medicine and is board certified in internal medicine
and oncology. Dr. Campbell previously served
as Director of the Women's HIV Clinic at Wake
Medical Center in Raleigh. She is a member of
the American Society of Hematology, American
Society of Clinical Oncology, Southern Oncology
and the North Carolina State and Wake County
Medical Societies. She is the author of 11 publications,
abstracts and chapters. Dr. Campbell was awarded
the NPR Silver Medalist of Excellence for the
radio project, "Women and AIDS," as
well as special recognition for the WUNC-FM program "Beauticians
and Mammography Outreach."
