Cancer Centers of North Carolina Welcomes Cassandra N. Moore, M.D.

Moore’s addition brings practice to 16 oncologists

RALEIGH, N.C., July 5, 2006 – Cassandra N. Moore, M.D., has joined Cancer Centers of North Carolina (CCNC) as a medical oncologist.

Dr. Moore received her undergraduate degree from Princeton University and her medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. She recently completed her fellowship in hematology/oncology at Duke University Medical Center. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center. Dr. Moore is board-certified in internal medicine.

Dr. Moore has a strong interest in genito-urinary cancers including prostate and renal cell carcinoma. Her research has been published in medical journals and research publications. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

With the addition of Dr. Moore, CCNC now has 16 board-certified oncologists, the Triangle’s largest group of cancer physicians in private practice. All of CCNC’s physicians have admission privileges at all of the area’s hospitals.

Dr. Moore will see patients at CCNC’s Macon Pond Road facility in west Raleigh.
