CCNC, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society host
“New Trends in the Treatment of non-Hodgkin Lymphoma”
April 4 event is part of CCNC’s Community Care Forum series
RALEIGH, N.C., March 24, 2006 – Dr. Charles Eisenbeis, medical oncologist, and Dr. Kolby Sidhu, radiation oncologist, at Cancer Centers of North Carolina, will present “New Trends in the Treatment of non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma” at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, as part of CCNC’s Community Care Forum series.
Holly D’Addurno, patient services manager the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Eastern N.C. chapter, also will speak during the event about the society’s care network for people coping with the disease.
Each year in the U.S., more than 55,000 new cases of non-Hodgkin lymphoma are diagnosed in adults. This complicated cancer has more than 25 different types. The doctors will focus on risk categories, factors influencing treatment and the newest trends in treatment. A question-and-answer session will follow. Light refreshments will be served.
The forum is part of CCNC’s free, regularly scheduled information sessions and presentations by CCNC’s physicians, nurses and staff. The event is free and open to the public, and will be held at CCNC’s facility at 4101 Macon Pond Road in west Raleigh.
